I know it’s sounds cliche, but I literally remember the day my son was born like it was yesterday. I remember the smell of the hospital room I was in, the nurse walked me down the hallway and into a room, then said “Happy Birthday! You’re having a baby today”, how Steven had to call his buddy to tell him he wasn’t going to be able to make it to bowling tonight, and even how rude my doctor was to the nurse who was trying to help me through the delivery. It’s just something you never forget as a mother.
Fifteen minutes old.
And now look…. twelve years later. My very sweet, crazy smart, super handsome, Jesus loving, funny, friendly baby boy. I just cannot believe this much time has passed! I will always support you and help you achieve everything you want from life. Keep being you, buddy!
This is the last year of his childhood before he’s a teenager. I’m so not ready.
No. 7 Ocean Drive is a gorgeous, multi-million-dollar beachfront estate in the Hamptons, where money and privilege know no bounds. But its beautiful gothic exterior hides a horrific past: it was the scene of a series of depraved killings that have never been solved. Neglected, empty, and rumored to be cursed, it’s known as the Murder House, and locals keep their distance.
Detective Jenna Murphy used to consider herself a local, but she hasn’t been back since she was a girl. Trying to escape her troubled past and rehabilitate a career on the rocks, the former New York City cop hardly expects her lush and wealthy surroundings to be a hotbed of grisly depravity. But when a Hollywood power broker and his mistress are found dead in the abandoned Murder House, the gruesome crime scene rivals anything Jenna experienced in Manhattan. And what at first seems like an open and shut case turns out to have as many shocking secrets as the Murder House itself, as Jenna quickly realizes that the mansion’s history is much darker than even the town’s most salacious gossips could have imagined. As more bodies surface, and the secret that Jenna has tried desperately to escape closes in on her, she must risk her own life to expose the truth–before the Murder House claims another victim.
Full of the twists and turns that have made James Patterson the world’s #1 bestselling writer, THE MURDER HOUSE is a chilling, page-turning story of murder, money, and revenge.
James Patterson is my go to! His books are such an easy ready, and they always keep me interested. And this book was no different. While I was not feeling any of the characters, I did really enjoy the book. I honestly could not put it down! And I did figure out the killer almost right away, but it was still a good book all the same. If you like James Patterson, or crime suspense novels, this one is for you!
I was selected by houseparty to host a ‘Chromecast Game of Thrones Premier Party’ this past Sunday. Talk about awesome!!!
The above images were taken from my houseparty event page
I was always interested in getting one of those “streaming to the TV things”, so I was real excited when the Chromecast arrived on my doorstep. I hooked that bad boy up and was ready to go! It was very simple to set up, and easy to use too!
The chromecast & a journal arrived in my package!
*Petyr Baelish lives with me*
So after putting the kids to bed on Sunday night, we watched the first episode using the chromecast. It was so cool to actually watch the show LIVE! I even let my funko POP! friends hang out with us to watch!!
Thanks houseparty! We had a freakin’ blast!!!!!

Hello fellow readers! Today’s post is brought to you by the letter R. R is for random.
I just jotting down some things that are on my mind…..
I’m almost done with the book I’m current reading. A book review will soon follow. The nice weather outside makes me want to sit on the porch and read more…. so expect more book reviews in the near future.
I got an iPhone 6 now. I loved my 5c, but it just started to crap out on me! I couldn’t use the phone up to my hear, it had to be on speaker phone (there was no sound in the ear hole at the top of the phone)… then sometimes it would say ‘headphones’ when I was turning up the volume – but NO headphones were plugged in. Also, I normally get a black Otterbox case, but this time I changed it up and got something girly. I believe the color is called aqua. And strangely enough, I am really diggin’ it!
I fixed up my ABOUT ME page (it was blank, lol), made a WORK WITH ME page (for brands and the like), as well as a CONTACT ME page (my social media info is there too). Please check them out and let me know what you think!
Game of Thrones starts back up on Sunday. I am suuuuuuuuuuuper stoked about it!
I don’t know how to use Bloglovin effectively. I read my blogs through feedly. Is it the same thing really? Hmmmmmm…..
Is it cool to take old posts from your old blog and make them new posts on your new blog? I hope so, because I think I am gonna make that happen.
Saturday, Steven was out of bed bright and early, as he had his first 5K race to attend! The kids just hung around the house while I binged on Netflix, lol. After the race was over, he drove home and relaxed on the couch…. which only lasted an hour before he decided to head over to the soccer field’s to see how the referee’s were doing (he runs the referees for the local soccer club). After soccer was over, he ran to Home Depot, then went straight to the yard to work on a project.
At night, I was invited to a sex toy party (that my lovely husband pretty much made me attend), and while I didn’t want to actually go (#introvertFTW) I did have fun. Came home, put the kids to bed and then went straight to bed!
Sunday was busy.
Walking to church (it was so beautiful outside and our church is right outside the neighborhood – a 15 minute walk)
Cleaning out the garage for an hour and a half
Dylan’s soccer game in the afternoon
A drive to LBI where we waited two hours to be seated at a local restaurant that had only opened for the season this past Thursday
A side trip to just sit on the beach while we waited to eat dinner (the beach is block from the restaurant)
Playing a new board game called Catan before putting the kids to bed
Steven and I watched Game of Thrones season 5 episode 1 (we are recapping before Sunday’s new season!)
Now it’s Monday, and I have off of work because all the schools in town have a half day, which equals no lunch served. Woohoo to a day off!!!! I really need it, because I went to bed with a headache verging on a migraine, and I woke up with it too. I’m gonna try to be productive around the house today and get laundry done….. but Steven texted me asking me to do a few things for him……… we’ll see what happens, lol.
